Adão Iturrusgarai was born in 1965 in the town of Cachoeira do Sul in Brazil's southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. He has lived in Porto Alegre, Paris, Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, in that order. His cartoons are published in Brazil in the newspapers Folha de São Paulo and O Liberal and in the magazine Sexy. His work also appears in the magazines Internazionale (Italy) and Fierro (Argentina). He currently lives with his wife and daughter in the Patagonian town of Gaiman, a small community of about 6,000 inhabitants originally founded by the Welsh.
